Open Meets are competitions run by other swimming clubs, Open Meets are aimed at swimmers 9+. Open Meets are licensed 1-3, the highest level aimed at the fastest swimmers.  Each year, Hart SC Coaches take swimmers to a range of venues across the South of England to enter different Open Meets.  Hart SC also hosts our own Open Meets through the year, with hundreds of swimmers travelling to compete at Hart.

Club Galas are internal competitions and hosted at Hart Leisure Centre throughout the year.  We encourage all swimmers to enter these as they can provide entry times for Open Meets and also for County Championships too.  Swimmers gain lots of valuable competing experience in a safe, friendly, internal environment.  The Hart SC Competition Calendar will have the latest dates for our events.

Each year, Hart SC, as a team, will enter Club v Club swimming Galas.  These are national competitions.  Hart SC focuses on The National Arena League and will also sometimes compete in the local Hants and South Coast Leagues too.  Swimmers are selected by the coaches to represent the club in a certain race.

Most swimmers aim at getting fast enough times to qualify for entry to Hampshire County Champs during January/February of each year and following on from that the South East Regionals in May of each year.
England has National Championships twice a year during Summer and Winter, and competition and times for these events are extremely fierce.  Dates are outlined in the Competition Calendar as soon as known to us.
