Another year at the Hampshire County Swimming Championships has come to
an end. Three weekends of fierce competition have seen Hart Swimming Club
achieve their best ever set of results. With more local swimmers qualifying for
this years’ Championships than ever before and their biggest haul of medals
for many a year. Hart SC, this year celebrating their 50th year as a competitive
Swim Club, can be extremely proud of their achievement.
Hart SC brought back over 30 medals and swimmers across all age groups
performed brilliantly with many posting personal best performances. Spencer
Farmer, Chairman of Hart SC, said: “This year’s performance was outstanding.
The club continues to grow and develop talented young swimmers, who are
supported by both our qualified coaching team and the many volunteers who
give up their time to run the Swim Club”.
Hart SC are located at Hart Leisure Centre and provide excellent opportunities
for swimmers of all ages to train and develop. They hold monthly trials for any
person interested in joining the Club. Their swimmers compete at many levels -
County, Regional and National Many also simply swim for fitness.
In addition to a number of club galas held throughout the year, Hart SC also
run weekend Open Meets which attract swimmers and other Swim Clubs to
Hart Leisure Centre from all over the South of England.
Spencer Farmer added: “The club environment and the events that we run
provide not only an opportunity to train and compete, but also for our
swimmers to develop close friendships with others, both inside and outside
the Club”.
