As you are aware, tonight, Wednesday 4th November will be our final night of swimming/land training as from Thursday of this week we will be entering ‘lockdown’ in England. In line with the national guidelines, Hart Leisure Centre will close from tomorrow (5th November) and we will also not be permitted access to St Neots School pool or the gym at Calthorpe Park School.
It is our intention to resume full training immediately at the end of this lockdown period, hopefully after 2nd December. We expect to operate the same full training schedule for all squads when we recommence activities. The Committee will continue to monitor the situation, to take account of any change of date for the restart of training, or any future restrictions that may be placed on indoor competitive swimming.
We will again be introducing a range of virtual club activities including…
Weekly interactive Zoom meetings for squads and coaches.
Weekly based fitness programmes set by the coaches.
Fun activities for swimmers and parents.
Hart SC Annual General Meeting (provisionally Sunday 22nd November at 7pm)
We are planning for these activities to start week commencing Sunday 8th November and will separately communicate the precise schedule/details of these activities by Swim Manager email.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone at Hart SC for their continued support of the Club, particularly the large number of parents who have volunteered over the past three months. The support that you have given has enabled us to implement our plan for the ‘safe’ return of our swimmers to training in the pool. It has been obvious just how important swimming is to each of our members, the benefits that participation in a competitive sport brings, and just how much they all enjoy it.
Please look after yourselves, stay safe, stay fully engaged with Hart SC and hopefully we can resume activities in early December.
